Polyglucuronic acid is an oligosaccharide that stimulates the skins natural production of hyaluronic acid. Like collagen, the amount of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid within the skin degrades with age, resulting in dehydrated and less-elastic complexions. When applied topically, hyaluronic acid can struggle to effectively penetrate the deeper layers of the dermis, if it has a large molecule size.
